The stats are IN! Compared to conventional means, customers and potential clients are 60–70% more likely to purchase your product when they are targeted through unique video marketing strategies. This year, Facebook allowed the purchase of video ads, Twitter launched video autoplay, and Meerkat and Periscope went viral after a week of launch. So why is that?
If you had the option to watch a 1 minute video on a local story, or grab a newspaper and read a 1/2 page article, which would you choose? 9/10 people will choose the video. This is because it saves TIME. Watching the video is more engaging, it saves you time, and can be stimulating, given the creator did his job. So why not provide the same stimulating content to your clients. Now lets take it up a notch. Since that stats have been “in” for a while, regular video is still better than no video, but aerial video is worlds better!
Prior to 2012, aerial video was only capable from helicopters, airplanes, or hot air balloons. In 2015, all that went away with the advancement of aerial drones. Capable of producing 4k video and 12mp still photos, you get the same great content all while flying within a few feet of the intended object. Aerial drones are the new way to market your product or company at a fraction of the cost compared to with a plane.
Since aerial drones are still new and taboo, companies are not taking advantage of them, yet. Let me tell you why that is a mistake. Lets say you own a roofing company. Just to check out the roof, you have to a ladder, employee on safety equipment, and about 45 minutes, depending on the size of the roof. The homeowners are unable to see what you just saw, so it may be hard to sell them on a new roof. While using an aerial drone, you can get photos and video of the roof, keep your employees safe on the ground, and be able to show the homeowner what needs to be fixed, all in a matter of 10 minutes.
Being unique is what separates profitable companies from stagnant ones. For example, you have a massive furniture retail store and you want to portray all of your product in a 30 second commercial. Doing this from fixed points on a ladder will work, but is boring and does not show all the product like you want to. Now imaging this same retail store commercial, but with indoor aerial video flying over all the product, showcasing it like a museum. Views and angles that capture the attention of your audience, and make them want to come into the store to see your selection. That is the power of aerial video. That is the power of drones.
